May 2005 Issue: Introduction:

"Never let what you cannot do or your circumstances prevent you from doing what you can do! Why? It is your life, you are worthy of everything life has to offer. Never let someone else or the negative thoughts of others determine who you are. Ask is it true? If it is, own it! If it is not, dump it in the garbage can where it belongs." Grandpa Va's wisdom

April 2005 Issue: Introduction:

Celebrate Life! excerpt from Trial By Fire a True Story of Hope "One inevitable part of living is the experience of pain. Misery however is a choice! No one can make us miserable without our permission. For me, "losing face" is a very serious offense against the self. It is my firm belief that when we compromise our value systems, we lose a part of ourselves. We slowly chip away at the core of who we are individually and as a society. In today's world, we tend to follow rules based on principles we believe in. Yet, we often compromise these same rules when we cannot have our own way". Nani Aki Linder

March 2005 Issue: Introduction:

Believe you are worthy of abundance. Believe you are whole, perfect, strong, loving, harmonious and happy. Believe you can be what you will to be! Believe you are worthy of the best life has to offer! Believe in all the world there is only one, unique, special YOU! It is all true, true, true!

February 2005 Issue: Introduction:

Its a new month! I am looking forward to spring and watching new life spring from the warmth of the earth. New baby animals, enchanting rainbows and wonderful green grass to run barefoot on. Cool Kona breeze of the tropics, sipping cool refreshing Calli beverage. Preparing the soil for planting. Sights and sounds of children as they laugh and play. Wow! Spring is in the air for me even if there are 5 more weeks of winter. visualize! Send your warm greetings of hope into the universe for all to bask in just for the asking. Welcome dear hearts to a shining spirit of happy, optimistic, positive, energy from my heart to yours.

January 2005 Issue: Introduction:

Happy New Year and may all your fondest dreams be realized. In the University Of Life & Hope System and indeed in the Culture I was raised in we have a belief system that goes like this: "we do not seek the meaning of life. We seek to experience it while we live." I wish you a life of quiet elegance, of abundant love and happiness and that you have the wisdom to share time and treasure with family, friends and the needy, human and animals alike. This is your life, it is not a dress rehearsal.

August 2004 Issue: Introduction:

Are you as anxious for the election to get here and over with as I am? Rhetoric flying, outrageous innuendos and sometimes outright lies just insults the intelligence of we the American people. I find my self shaking my head often and wishing the journalist would just stop with the power shuffle to get on the front page or "top" news program. Then the power shuffle dance moves to the pundits who often say, "well the American people want this or that!" According to polls comes next, I have never had a national news pollster call me, have you? Then there is the making over of all candidates whose records we have watched over the years, come on and say to us, "well what you are reading or seeing isn't really accurate, because this is what he/she really meant to say or do!" I find myself shifting from laughing to talking back to the television or turning it off. This is what I think! Ready?

July 2004 Issue: Introduction:

(note: sun between 11-3 is at its hottest so don't forget the sunscreen) This is your life my friends it is not a dress rehearsal so enjoy!

June 2004 Issue: Introduction:

I hope all mothers reading this had a very special day, now we plan for Father’s Day.There is an oriental saying that goes something like this; “a home without a mother lacks foundation without a father there is no roof.”Children and Ohana (family) need for foundation and roof. Celebrating life and living as a family is an important piece in the life of a child. When we cherish our spouses we assure the unity of a child's living balanced and feeling secure. Food for thought, as always take what you need from this newsletter and discard the rest.

April 2004 Issue: Introduction:

I love wolves. In some ways they remind me of the diversity in creators thinking. My grandfather was fond of telling me, "Nani girl, your character will be measured by how you treat all creatures, big and small, animal and human." The wolf is a misunderstood creature and thus feared by man. Unfortunately that fear often leads to wanton destruction of these rather shy creatures. Isn't it ironic that humans often fear and misunderstand Diversity so they shy away, seek to ridicule, bad Mouth or refuse to take advantage of educational opportunities that could build bridges of hope. Our Newsletter is about inspiring hope, tenacity, focus, And living the golden rule. As always take what you need and discard the rest.

March 2004 Issue: Introduction:

Aloha e everyone and welcome to our March 2004 Nani Notes. Exciting times ahead, can you feel it in the air? I love spring! The warmth of the earth sparks the beginning of new life. Clouds dance softly across the sky and those with imagination can look up and make great pictures out of the clouds. Spring is a time of majestic newness when we observe the birth of new animals, the wonderful hues of greens and browns and the melodious whisper of natures many creatures playing their symphony with the same enchantment of our own human symphony. It is time to cast off the gloom of winters darkness and embrace the sun. Ah my friends, magic is in the air. I invite you to share in this exciting energy of hope. It is a good day to thank Creator God for these abundant gifts of life.
